Exercise With Doris
Exercise with me as I try to loose some weight. The big problem is that I love those exercise machines (especially expensive exercise bikes) but I spend time reading about them online instead of riding them... :-)

The Lifespan RW1000
This example of the Lifespan RW1000 Rower uses the eddy current flywheel to provide a total body workout for the fitness buff. As the rower finishes the rowing move the flywheel works up resistance, so the faster you row the higher the resistance becomes. This particular model gives you the freedom to manually adjust the resistance level too. There are five resistance settings. There is a five year warranty on the frame, and two years for the parts. It also folds for easy storage giving the user freedom to store the rower after the rowing session is over.
The rowing strap is never loose because of it being tight and without any laxness. So it gives you full workout with your forward and back strokes. The RW1000 also comes with an LCD screen which shows calories burnt, distance rowed, strokes per minute for the users who are more goal oriented and like to have figures to show their progress. The rower is a good cardiovascular exercise too. Users have shown increased flexibility in their joints after working out on the RW1000. But over usage can lead to pain in the major muscles of the body. So people who are looking to make an addition to their regular exercise routine should go for this piece of equipment.
The EL 1000 Natural FIT Elliptical Trainer
The EL 1000 Natural FIT Elliptical Trainer gives the user the benefit of walking and jogging without having to run on the treadmill which for some users tends to be a painful experience because of the impact of the feet on the hard treadmill. This version boasts a 18 inch stride length and handle allow the upper body to get a workout too. This version features a LCD which shows the distance travelled, calories burnt, speed and resistance level. There are some preset programs to choose from which include heart health, weight management and interval programs. There are two custom presets too which include My Zone interval and My Zone constant through which the user can set the times according to his own will and then the machine will follow the times set by the user.
The My zone interval program is pretty hard for any average person to cope with because it takes a person through high and low intensity workouts. While the My Zone constant keeps the heart rate at a constant whilst taking the user through his exercise and constantly changes the resistance at which the exercise is going at. There are eight different presets each with three levels. The EL 1000 Natural FIT Elliptical Trainer comes with a lifetime frame and brake guarantee along with a three year parts warranty. It can be easily moved from place to place courtesy its front mounted wheels. The EL 1000 Natural FIT Elliptical Trainer is the best option for people who suffer from knee or joint pain as it does not involve the hassle of running like on a treadmill.

Schwinn 230 Bike
The king of the exercise bike world, the Schwinn 230 recumbent bike is perhaps the most comfortable exercise bike available in the market. A “recumbent” bike means that it comes with a slightly reclined seat that provides decent support to the lower back and neck which is different than what you get in a normal upright exercise bike. This bike provides a much less injury prone exercise experience for the rider, whilst giving the rider a full and through workout. Schwinn has been making quality bikes for the past 100 years. So it shouldn’t be a challenge in trusting this brand.
The Schwinn 230 offers a range of comfortable features which make exercising a lot easier. The features include handle bars, foot pedals and a two position lumbar seat built using the Bio-Fit technology. It also incorporates a bottle holder beneath the seat and a rack just beneath the display to hold your reading material. It takes about an hours worth of work to assemble this machine and once assembled it provides some 12 workout programs and 16 resistance levels. The LCD shows the distance traveled the amount of calories burnt and the distance travelled. So for all you people searching for an exercise bike, this would be the best choice.
